Vanessa was one of the faculty members leading a course on Tangible Users Interfaces for the 2020 version of CIID’s Costa Rica Interaction Design Program. In this course, taught over Zoom, with two faculty in Canada and two in Denmark, and all students in Costa Rica, Vanessa did biweekly lectures on Designing for Meaningfulness in context, delving into topics such as in-context testing during Corona times (co-taught with faculty member Olivia Prior) and how our choices as designers impact the ecosystems such as that of the rich biodiversity of Costa Rica.
